Stacey Thornton -
Owner & Master Stylist
With nearly 30 years of experience behind the chair, Stacey is a master stylist known for precision, creativity, and a commitment to excellence. As the proud owner of Orbis Salon, she is dedicated to ongoing education, staying ahead of trends and techniques to consistently deliver transformative results. Specializing in men’s cuts and complete hair transformations, Stacey brings passion and expertise to every client interaction.
Beyond the salon, she is a proud supporter of the local community and value balance in life—whether that’s hitting the gym, spending time with family, or enjoying the outdoors with her three beloved dogs.
Kylee - Senior Stylist
Kylee began her hairstyling career in 2009 in the Greater Toronto Area, bringing with her a deep passion for creativity and connection. In 2021, she relocated to Huntsville and quickly became a valued member of the Orbis team. Known for her warm personality and client-focused approach, Kylee believes she has the best job in the world—making people feel confident and happy through great hair.
She takes the time to truly listen during consultations, ensuring a clear understanding of each client’s vision and delivering results that reflect their unique style. As Orbis’s resident fashion colour specialist, Kylee is especially sought after for bold, vibrant transformations.
Outside of the salon, she’s proudly known as the team’s cat lover and brings the same care and attention to her clients as she does to her furry companions.
Alana -
Junior Stylist
Alana began her journey at Orbis while attending hairstyling school and proudly graduated from Georgian College in 2023. Now a junior stylist, she is passionate about continuous learning and regularly attends advanced training to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the ever-evolving hair industry.
She believes hair is a powerful form of self-expression and plays a key role in building confidence. For Alana, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing a client light up after a service—an experience she feels truly grateful to be a part of.
Known for her attention to detail, Alana specializes in long, layered haircuts complemented by voluminous blowouts. She also enjoys creating soft, low-maintenance colour looks, including lived-in blondes, balayage, and full-colour applications.
Outside the salon, Alana enjoys spending time with her beloved dog Shirley, relaxing by the water with music, and connecting with friends—often with Shirley by her side.
Jana - Senior Stylist
With over seven years of experience behind the chair, Jana is a seasoned stylist known for her expertise in creating natural, seamlessly blended color. A graduate of Georgian College in Barrie (Class of 2018), she began her career under the guidance of industry mentors—including a Schwarzkopf color representative and a precision cutting expert trained in France. These early experiences helped shape her advanced skills in color theory and technique.
Jana specializes in customized highlighting methods designed to enhance each client’s natural beauty. She is passionate about delivering the color you’ve always dreamed of—healthy, vibrant, and effortlessly beautiful.
After spending time in a city-based salon environment, Jana returned to her hometown of Huntsville, where she’s been a valued member of the Orbis team for over three years. Outside the salon, she enjoys fishing, gardening, and unwinding with video games.
Kyra -
Junior Stylist
Kyra is a passionate and detail-driven junior stylist entering her second year full-time at Orbis Salon. Her journey began early—at just 16, she joined the salon through a high school co-op placement, quickly discovering her love for hairstyling. By 17, she was enrolled in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and began Level 1 of the hairstyling program at Georgian College.
Throughout her senior year, Kyra balanced her studies with hands-on experience at the salon, eagerly learning and refining her skills. After completing both high school and the Level 1 program, she transitioned seamlessly into full-time work at Orbis, bringing with her a strong work ethic, a growing technical foundation, and a genuine passion for the craft.
Tehya -
Junior Stylist
Tehya is a dedicated junior stylist with a lifelong passion for hair and beauty. A 2024 graduate of Modern College, Tehya brings fresh creativity and enthusiasm to the Orbis Salon team. Eager to grow her clientele and expand her expertise, she is especially focused on specializing in both fashion colours and blonding services.
Outside of the salon, Tehya enjoys spending time with her horses and family, bringing a grounded and warm energy to everything she does.
